Our Story

The Full Story

In 2019, our founder, Christian Scott, planned monthly family gatherings to bring his family together. Through these events, he led his family in moments of food, fellowship, and games. Seeing his family enjoy themselves, build strong relationships, have fun with games, and unite was special and motivated him to duplicate these moments for others. When the COVID-19 pandemic reached the United States, all his family gatherings, birthday celebrations, and enjoyable times came to an instant halt. The world and Christian’s everyday life changed in a matter of days, but he was not going to allow COVID-19 to disrupt his passion for bringing people together. He was determined to keep his family together and reconnect those in his community along the way.

Many people view the COVID-19 pandemic as a global health crisis that took the lives of millions, but Christian focused on the impact it had on mental health. The combination of isolation, fear, uncertainty, and economic stress led to increased levels of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. COVID-19 caused a mental health crisis, and people were in desperate need of moments of laughter, joy, and positivity with friends and family. Christian understood that his relatives needed opportunities to connect with the people they love more than ever and he worked hard to create a solution.

It took hours of searching, late nights, many lessons, and several experiments, but he created the ultimate solution. The idea was to continue his family’s monthly gatherings and use the power of technology to their advantage. On April 18, 2020, after days of preparation, Christian hosted his first virtual family game night. As the family continued to log on to the video call, Christian’s relatives were grateful to see everyone’s beautiful faces again and check in with one another. After a great conversation, Christian hosted his first game show, showcasing his new and original game, What Am I?. It was beautiful to see everyone full of joy, laughing with each other, and smiling in their virtual boxes even though they were amid a global crisis.

After his successful virtual game night, Christian continued to host virtual gatherings twice a month for his family. He continued researching to develop new content and games that he was confident everyone would enjoy. Christian understood the difficult time they were experiencing being physically distant and was motivated to continuously see his family enjoy themselves from the convenience of their homes. As he continued to work hard, Christian started marketing and providing his online service to church groups, families, companies, student organizations, alumni groups, birthday parties, and anniversaries. His passion for connection birthed a revenue-generating business called Game On!, created to bring people together virtually.

Today, Game On! has brought hundreds of individuals all over the nation together and continues to use technology to unite communities in 2024. Christian is proud of the brand Game On! has become and is grateful to his parents, Anthony and Melanie Scott, for assisting him in creating a business that touches the lives of many people.
