Test your knowledge and strategy with Cognito!, a fast-paced trivia game where teams compete to answer questions from a variety of categories. With a mix of skill, teamwork, and risk-taking, players will battle for the highest score by buzzing in, answering correctly, and making strategic wagers in the Final Inquiry round.

Objective

The goal is simple: earn the most points by answering questions correctly, strategizing wisely, and making smart wagers in the Final Inquiry. The team with the highest score at the end wins!

How it Works

  1. Choosing a Question: The host selects the first team to begin. After that, the team that answers correctly picks the next question.

  2. Buzzing In: Players must buzz in first (raising a hand virtually or using a buzzer in person) to earn the chance to answer.

  3. Answering Limits: Players cannot answer back-to-back questions. If a player gets a question wrong, their teammates cannot answer, giving the opposing team a chance to steal.

  4. Earning & Losing Points: Correct answers earn points, while incorrect answers deduct points, making every response crucial to victory.

  5. Final Inquiry: Teams place a secret wager before answering one final question that could determine the winner.

How it Works

  1. Teams Take Turns: The host selects a team to go first. Teams take turns choosing the category, regardless of who answered the previous one correctly.

  2. Team Discussion: Each team has 30 seconds to discuss their answer. The team captain (or designated player) from each team must privately turn in their final response before time runs out.

  3. Scoring: Correct answers earn points. Incorrect answers earn no points, and the question becomes open for a steal.

  4. Final Inquiry: Before seeing the final question, teams secretly wager a portion of their points. They then collaborate and submit their final answer privately. Correct answers earn the wagered points; incorrect answers lose the wagered amount.

  5. The team with the most points at the end wins!
